Abdominoplasty (Tummy Tuck) Before & After Case 7

This 39 year patient presented to Dr. Olson for body contouring after she lost 100 pounds with diet and exercise. She felt her excess lower abdominal skin and fat were keeping her from continuing to lose weight because it was getting in the way with exercise. She was extremely motivated to continue losing weight and I felt she was a good candidate for a belt lipectomy which involves a tummy tuck but continues around her flanks and back, lifting the buttocks and removing excess skin and fat on her back as well.

She only required one night in the hospital for recovery and has since healed well without any complications. She went home with drains for around two weeks to prevent seroma formation which can happen frequently with this operation.
