This 60 year-old male from Scottsdale, AZ presented to my clinic for consultation regarding body contouring surgery in our Gilbert, AZ office. He lost close to 100 pounds and was unhappy with the excess skin remaining. Most patients are thrilled with losing that much weight through diet and exercise or weight-loss surgery but find themselves dissatisfied with hanging skin which typically ensues.

While a traditional tummy tuck would improve his abdomen, the excess skin on his hips and back area would not be affected. I recommended a full belt lipectomy or body lift operation for optimal results. I also recommended liposuction of his flank area. 

We proceeded with a staged abdominoplasty and eventual buttock lift to complete the body lift and he healed without any difficulty.
