Tummy Tuck (Abdominoplasty) Before & After Case 22

This 36 year-old woman from the Mesa area came to my Gilbert office for a consultation regarding a mommy-makeover. She was interested in more breast fulness and symmetry as well as improvement of her abdomen. She had a significant separation of her rectus muscles (rectus diastasis) from pregnancy on exam and a full abdominoplasty would remove extra stretched skin and allow for tightening of her rectus muscles. I discussed with her prior to surgery the high probability of leaving her with a small vertical scar where her umbilicus opening is moved to as she did not have enough excess skin to remove the entire area under her umbilicus. 

We proceeded with a full abdominoplasty, flank liposuction as well as a bilateral breast augmentation and breast lift on her left breast for symmetry. Using a sizing system we both felt that 325cc implants would give her the look she wanted so silicone 325cc moderate plus profile implants were placed under the pectoralis muscle. She stayed overnight due to the long nature of the operation. 

She went on to heal without complication and is pleased with her better figure and tighter abdomen.
