Breast Augmentation Before & After Case 17

This 46-year-old woman from the Gilbert, Chandler AZ area presented to me for consultation for breast implant exchange. She underwent a breast augmentation over 10 years ago and complained of deflation of the right breast saline implant and hardening of the left breast. She was hoping for more breast symmetry and improvement of the hardened breast capsule. She had saline implants placed previously over the muscle. I discussed the technical challenges with revision breast augmentation and implant exchange. 

I recommended a complete capsulectomy and placing new silicone implants under the pectoralis muscle to decrease the risk of capsular contracture. After listening to her concerns I recommended Allergan 375cc silicone implants. Going through an incision under the breast I removed the old capsule that was making the left breast firm and placed the implants under the pectoralis muscle. The deflated saline implant was replaced with a smooth round silicone gel breast implant. 

She recovered wonderfully as expected and has a breast shape and size that matches her athletic body. She is more than pleased with the results and breast symmetry improvement.
